LDAO establishes guidelines for practitioners in the United States. It publishes these guidelines, as well as general information on the practice in their publication "Framework. Domain and Process"

The latest edition, the third edition was published in 2008. The framework is a guide for practitioners to assess the needs of patients and help them find better solutions to achieve their goals. It provides the structure for the review in three simple steps: assessment, intervention, and targeted results.
Understanding the context will allow you to get the most out of your relationship with your doctor and treatment. By equipping you in the frame, you can best reach your goals.
Evaluation
The assessment is the first part of the discovery process. On paper, the part of the assessment to find out what made a patient and is able to do. Your doctor will want to know what kind of jobs you have held in the past, how to be able to perform these tasks were and if your environment, colleagues, their work ethic, or external factors contributed to your success or failure of this work. Your doctor can tell you, people you worked, or family members to obtain a clearer picture of what happens to you as an employee.
Intervention
According framework LDAO intervention is a cooperation process. After the interviews, you and your practitioner working together on a plan to develop your personal strengths uses the labor market. Part of this plan is to find a compromise between personal goals and the practical applications of this plan.
The intervention is an attempt to make a habit or action that you were the change earlier success. Identify undesirable habits or non-vital and replace them with more desirable habits in a safe environment will help with a lot of outside support by increasing the likelihood that these habits will be maintained when you move into the workforce.
Targeting results
Occupational therapy recognizes that the alignment of the workforce is an ongoing process. It may take several shots and multiple attempts before the initial objectives of the practitioner and the client are met. This part of the framework directive is intended to allow the physician and the patient to change their approach and change all aspects of the evaluation plan or intervention.
For some people, occupational therapy is a single interaction between the client and the practitioner who makes a habit. For others, it is the beginning of an ongoing process, with the doctor and the patient constantly working in tandem to meet the changing objectives. In both situations, hard work leading to success in both the specialist and the patient. Understanding these relationships can help navigate the complex decision-making process involved in practical daily occupational therapy. The framework emphasizes the value of this relationship can be a useful tool.
